Writing an essay is the easy part. Uncovering the right story isn't.
Most students can write. Grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, that’s not what stops them. What stops them is looking at their own life and not knowing which parts of it matter, or why a college admissions officer would care.
That’s not a failure of effort or ability. It’s just genuinely hard to see yourself clearly when you’re seventeen and the stakes are high.
Jeanius coaches work one-on-one with students to uncover the moments, values, and experiences that make them who they are, then shape that clarity into an essay that’s authentic, specific, and memorable.
Your student still writes every word. We bring the structure, insight, and direction that turns a blank page into something they’re actually proud of.
The Pre-Writing Process – Before a single word gets written, we help your student figure out what to say. In this process, your student shares the moments, experiences, and values that have shaped who they are. Then we provide five personalized essay topics and outlines, so your student starts writing with a clear direction and a story worth telling.
The Coaching Process – Then we help your child tell their story well. In our Coaching process, a Jeanius Coach works with your student one-on-one through every stage of the writing process, from first draft to final essay. They bring the expertise, the feedback, and the experienced eye that turns a good story into a great essay.
For over 25 years, we’ve worked with Bestselling Authors, Business Icons, and Professional Athletes to distill down the essence of their life stories. When asked, “Couldn’t this kind of clarity help students?”
“I wish I’d known about this when my oldest was going through the college application process! We spent five times what Jeanius costs and ended up undoing everything that an admissions guide told us to write. It didn’t sound like my daughter and wasn’t anything special. I’m now using Successay for my middle son and couldn’t be more pleased.”

“Through meticulous rounds of feedback and brainstorming sessions, my Jeanius guide helped me improve my college application essays tremendously. I ultimately received admission to Yale as well as to my top-choice scholarship program at the University of Georgia. I couldn’t be more grateful!”

“I was blown away by my son’s experience with his Jeanius writing coach. He was professional, kind, and made it a priority to grasp my son’s personal experience so that he could help him write an essay that was not only excellent; it also captured the essence of what truly makes him a standout student.”
